Different Types Of Effective Workouts


When we talk about workouts, this does not only apply to people who want to lose weight, it's also for people who want to gain weight and become fit. That's why when you hit the gym, the instructor will ask you a question if what do you want to achieve? Do you want to gain weight, lose weight, have six pack abs, or tone your muscles? Whatever goal you have and want to achieve will be up to you. The fitness instructor will then give you your own personalize fitness program that would meet your needs and also your goals. Or, if it's your first time to work out, he may give you a fitness program for beginners. There are so many and different types of workouts that you can do that give different effect and results. That's why it's is important that you know what you want to achieve before starting any workout program. Let me give you some of the samples of fitness program that you can do.

Weight Lifting/Muscle Building Workout: This is the very common and most used program in the gym especially with men. Men want to shape and build their muscles to achieve their desired body figure. For men, it's sexier if muscles are well toned and shaped. Of course we all have muscles in our body but if you want to have cuts and shapes, you need to do something about it. If you want to build your muscles, you may need the help of weights. As you lift the weights, your muscles will start to build. That's why there is what we call weight lifting program or the muscle building workout. In this program, you lift heavy weights most of the time. Lifting weight requires energy and force. Once you are using energy, your body is burning fats and using it as energy. In weight lifting program, you could either do it yourself by simply following the program with the help of your instructor or you could do a side-by-side training with your fitness instructor.

Cardio Workout: Another effective workout is the cardio workout. There two types of cardio workout that you can do; one is with equipments and the other is without equipment. For cardio workout without equipment; running, walking, jogging, jump rope, jumping jack, dancing, aerobics, taebo, insanity workout, etc., and for cardio with equipment; stationary bicycling, treadmill, elliptical, and etc.

Abs Workout: If you have big belly, you need to focus on abs workout. There are different types of abs workout that you can do and the most common are crunches, leg raise, full sit-ups, and many more. Abs workout is the most painful and difficult type of workout that you can do. The belly is also the hardest part to work out. This could be frustrating and disappointing but you need to be patient if you want to see your desired result.

Full Body Workout: This is also an effective type of workout because this hits almost every part of your body. You are working out different parts of your body in your whole fitness program. This is a unique and advance type of workout and this could be very tiring if you are not use to it. That's why before you do this; make sure that you are ready to feel the pain and difficulty or the routines. This may also require the use of weights but not heavy only light weights just to put a little pressure in your muscle.

Aside from what was mentioned above, there are other types of workout that are also effective. Try to ask any fitness instructor about this or you can simply do your research.
